The RCT Source

This module provides an introduction to pronunciation, basic greetings, and useful phrases for the workplace for those aiming to achieve Level 1 Welsh Language Skills. 

The module takes approximately 2 hours to complete.  

This course is mandatory for all new staff with level 0 in Welsh language skills.  If you are fluent or have a level of 1 or above in Welsh language skills you are not required to complete this course. 

To supplement this course, we offer a 2 hour face-to-face bitesize Work Welsh training session on Microsoft Teams with our Welsh tutor.  The Bitesize course is not mandatory and does not replace the Level 1 Skills course.  For more information, or to book a place on a face-to-face session please visit BITESIZE Work Welsh (Level 1)

Staff are encouraged to access our further training and support provided. We offer a full beginners and foundation level Welsh courses.  Courses are available for free to all RCT staff and delivered by our Welsh tutor, with virtual lessons on Microsoft Teams during working hours.  To book a place or for further information about our courses and language support available, please contact swyddogiaith@rctcbc.gov.uk

Please note, once you have come to the end of the e-Learning module you will need to pass the Knowledge Check and fill in the evaluation form so that the course shows as 'complete' on your learning record. You will then be able to access your certificate.
