Business in Focus
Business in Focus can provide all the business start up advice and help you need as well as support to grow your business. This Welsh Government funded start up advice service is available throughout Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Swansea and the Vale of Glamorgan
Training for Business
A free 3 hour workshop (a.m. or p.m.) which provides an overview of what is required to start a business and helps you to decide if self-employment is right for you.

- Understand the pros and cons of being your own boss
- Assess your personal skills
- Understand the legal aspects of starting a business
- Understand the key tasks needed to start a business
- Find out how to put a basic business plan in place
- Discover other available networks of support and how to source finance
Many of the Welsh Government Business Start-up services we provide are free of charge. We can also signpost trading businesses to the Welsh Government Business Wales service.

Starting your own business can be a big challenge but with good support it doesn’t have to be as daunting as you might think. It's not all plain sailing though and you need to fully consider the risks - only one in three business start ups in the UK succeed in the first three years of business. So it is vitally important that you do your research and get some help before taking this step.
