Foster Carers; Join us for a nurturing and practical training series designed to help you understand the needs beneath children’s behaviours, strengthen emotional connection, and build safe, trusting relationships.
Carers may attend the full three day course or book individual sessions.
⭐ Day 3: Understanding Lying & Stealing
- Looking beyond behaviour to see the need.
Aims;
- Reframe lying and stealing as survival strategies. Consider the reasons why children may engage in lying or stealing
- Exploring how building safety and trust can reduce these behaviours over time. Consider how we can understand and support lying and stealing and reduce these behaviours over time through further building safety and trust.
- Consider the difference between Behaviour support and Behaviour Management.
- Using PACE to respond to the feelings beneath the behaviour.
