  • Aims & Objectives

    AIMS:

    • To raise awareness of the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and early life trauma on children’s development and well-being.
    • To deepen understanding of how insecure attachments and early adversity can affect emotional regulation, behaviour, and relationships.
    • To equip participants with practical strategies to provide therapeutic care and support children in their recovery journey.

     

    OBJECTIVES:

    By the end of the workshop, participants will:

    • Understand the Impact of ACEs – Gain insight into how early life trauma affects emotional health, and behaviours in children.
    • Recognise Signs and Symptoms – Identify the key indicators of trauma and insecure attachment in children.
    • Explore Therapeutic Care Approaches – Learn practical tools and caregiving strategies to create a safe and nurturing environment for children affected by trauma.
    • Support Healing and Resilience – Develop skills to foster secure attachments, build trust, and help children regulate emotions and develop resilience.
