    Who is this course for?     

    Supervisors of front-line carers providing domiciliary care.

     Course Aims:

    •         To support supervisors in developing insight into their skills and knowledge to effectively undertake their role.

    •         To enable supervisors to make decisions, give advice and develop staff they support to ensure care standards are met.

     Course content:

    Workshop 1

    •         Role, responsibilities and accountability.

    •         What is a ‘supervisor’?

    •         What is a leader?

    •         What are the skills and attitudes needed by a supervisor?

    •         Developing clear expectations of manager, supervisor and care staff.

    •         Skills analysis and confidence scale.

    •         Making decisions and judgements.

    •         Personal action planning.
