    Aims

    Being aware of various theories will help us to develop a deeper understanding of how an individual might experience the world and respond in the way that they do when they have autism. This course is designed to help us to think ‘why’ challenges might happen and then how we might best make adaptations for individuals, which reduce anxiety and support participation and learning. The course will explore the theories of:

    ❖       Theory of Mind

    ❖       Weak Central Coherence

    ❖       Executive Dis-functioning in autism

    ❖       Feature Processing

    ❖       Extreme Male Brain (focusing on the ‘male female’ divide in autism)

    ❖       “REFRIGERATOR MOTHERS” -A DISCREDITED THEORY

    Bydd bod yn effro i'r amryw theorïau yn eich helpu i ddatblygu dealltwriaeth ddyfnach o sut y gall unigolion brofi'r byd o'u cwmpas ac ymateb fel maen nhw pan fydd gyda nhw awtistiaeth. Nod y cwrs yma yw'ch helpu i feddwl am y rhesymau tu ôl i ymddygiad heriol, a sut i wneud addasiadau ar gyfer unigolion er mwyn lleihau eu pryderon a'u helpu i ddysgu a chymryd rhan. Bydd y cwrs yn archwilio'r theorïau yma:
