• This module has been designed to provide managers with practical advice and guidance around preparing for and undertaking Welfare Visits as part of the Council's Absence Management Policy. It will help to provide answers to the most common questions whilst highlighting the key responsibilities of both the manager and the employee.

For further information, please see the Welfare Visits guide.

At the start of this module, you will be required to answer some questions in order to assess your knowledge, understanding and application, with a set pass mark of 80%. If you pass the knowledge check, you will not be required to undertake the e-Learning element. If you do not pass the knowledge check you will be redirected to the relevant elements of the module and will then need to retake the assessment.

If you wish to by-pass the knowledge check and undertake the module in full as a refresher first, full instructions can be found at the start of each module.

The module should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
