Aims; Social Work: Theory to Practice training is aimed at all social workers in their first year of practice who will be undertaking the Consolidation Programme. The aim is to provide refresher training on the different social work theories that can be considered when working with individuals, families and groups to achieve best outcomes
Objectives:
Social workers will be able to consider a number of theoretical perspectives and understand the strengths and barriers from using each approach.
Social workers will have a better understanding of theory which they can apply to their academic writings for the Consolidation Programme.
Social workers will be provided with a range of resources to further assist their learning.Target Group: Student Social Workers, Newly Qualified social workers and Practice Educators
