• Aims & Objectives

    AIMS: 

    Extended Adult Practice Review (APR) has been undertaken in line with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 “Working Together to Safeguard People Volume 3”.

    Two cases that have been subject to multi-agency audit by the Adult Safeguarding Quality Assurance Group will be presented and the learning derived from those audit will be discussed.

    OBJECTIVES:

    By the end of the course participants will be aware of:

    Your own role in relation to learning and changing practice from failings in care

    What has changed to minimise the possibility of this occurring in your service

    The use of appropriate legislation for adults requiring care and treatment

    The patient pathway between older persons mental health wards

    The reporting and recording of safeguarding incidences 

    The role of the Multi-disciplinary team
