The workshop is based on exploring effective ways to communicate with people with dementia and understanding what the same people might be communicating to us. The overall aim of the workshop is to provide information that is evidenced based on how we can help the person with dementia to maintain a sense of identity and be seen as a person and not an object of care. The concepts of validation and personhood are central to the trainer’s approach
