Aims and Objectives
This session is in-house and only available to Rock Grounds staff by invitation.
Course aim – To
further explore managers’ responsibility in respect of their health and safety
obligations.
Course Objectives - Participants will have had an opportunity to look at violence at work from vulnerable people with reference to:
- The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 & MHSWR 1999.
- The continuing theme of communication as a health and safety topic.
- The concept of managers’ vicarious liability.
- The ‘Good Work’ framework – SCW guidance in respect of dementia care.
- What humans must experience at an emotional level to achieve wellbeing – Tom Kitwood’s flower of psychological need.
- David Sheard’s guidance about creating a meaningful workforce development plan for your organisation.
- Opportunity to feed back about implementing H&S plans.
