    Course aim – To further explore managers’ responsibility in respect of their health and safety obligations.

    Course Objectives - Participants will have had an opportunity to look at violence at work from vulnerable people with reference to:

    • The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 & MHSWR 1999

    • The continuing theme of communication as a health and safety topic

    • The concept of managers’ vicarious liability

    • The ‘Good Work’ framework – SCW guidance in respect of dementia care

    • What humans must experience at an emotional level to achieve wellbeing – Tom Kitwood’s flower of psychological need

    • David Sheard’s guidance about creating a meaningful workforce development plan for your organisation.

    • Opportunity to feed back about implementing H&S plans
