All staff that work for or on behalf of Rhondda Cynon Taf Council are REQUIRED to complete their Mandatory Learning modules.
You can find the learning that you have been assigned in the 'My Learning' and 'Required Learning' tab above. Alternatively, a full suite with links to the mandatory modules can be found below. If you have been asked to complete a mandatory course and it has not been assigned to you, get in touch with thesource@rctcbc.gov.uk .
Regardless of your role, these modules are vital in providing you with an understanding of what expectations and responsibilities you have as an employee of the Council.
The learning will help build your awareness on important issues and help to protect yourself from poor practice – for example, we cover the safe handling of confidential/sensitive information, promote awareness of safeguarding vulnerable individuals and identify how we can ensure an inclusive workplace.
By completing the mandatory learning and developing your awareness, you will directly contribute to a better and safer running of Council services for our residents.
The modules contain information about the Council as a whole and some are driven by Welsh Government. Some of these courses run via a Certification, meaning you are required to refresh the training at specified intervals. More information can be found on each course. Please note - this list may be modified over time and new courses added, you will find these courses below. You are expected to ensure you remain compliant with all Mandatory Training.
Some of these modules are certifications and they must be completed at defined intervals, for example, every year/few years:

· Data Protection Training (Refresh every 2 years)
· Diversity and Inclusion (Refresh every 18 months)
