Below is a simple to follow chart from St John Ambulance for First-Aiders if someone stops breathing in the workplace and they are registered as a First Aider.
Things to remember:-
- Do not check breathing by placing you face near to the mouth of the casualty, instead look for movement in the chest.
If they are breathing, place them in the recovery position and call for an ambulance ASAP.
If they are not breathing start CPR as shown below.
The CPR rates of compression are 30 compressions at a rate of 100-120 per minute (The beat of the song “Staying Alive”)

ONLY PLACE A DRY CLOTH OVER THE MOUTH
