    Below is a simple to follow chart from St John Ambulance for First-Aiders if someone stops breathing in the workplace and they are registered as a First Aider.

     Things to remember:-

    •  Do not check breathing by placing you face near to the mouth of the casualty, instead look for movement in the chest.
    • If they are breathing, place them in the recovery position and call for an ambulance ASAP.

     If they are not breathing start CPR as shown below.

    • The CPR rates of compression are 30 compressions at a rate of 100-120 per minute (The beat of the song “Staying Alive”)

    • NO MOUTH TO MOUTH IS TO BE PREFORMED

    • ONLY PLACE A DRY CLOTH OVER THE MOUTH
