WHISTLEBLOWING

Will employees get into trouble/lose their job if they report a colleague?

If allegations are made in good faith, then even if they are not confirmed as a result of the investigation, an employee would not be in trouble or at risk of losing their job.  However, malicious allegations will lead to disciplinary action.

Further information is available in the Whistleblowing Policy.

The Council's Whistleblowing Policy can be accessed here.
