ANNUAL LEAVE

Can unpaid leave be taken in the school summer holiday instead of using up all the annual leave entitlement?

Unpaid leave should only be taken when annual leave has been exhausted. If more time off is needed after all the annual leave has been used, an application can be made to the Service Director who may consider unpaid leave, under the Leave of Absence Policy however there is no guarantee that this will be approved.

The Council's Leave of Absence Policy can be accessed here.
