• This module will explore:

    • What Tourette Syndrome is, the prevelance of TS, the misconceptions that surround it and other tic disorders
    • The symptoms of TS, what are motor and vocal tics, how these are defined into simple and complex categories, what is the coprophenomena and what are repitition and hidden tics
    • The co-occurring features and differences that can also accompany TS and how these affect the individual
    • What impact TS has on an individual from a physical and emotional level
    • Details of the support available for people with TS, their families and friends and anyone supporting them

    The module will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete

      You will learn what Tourette Syndrome is, co-occurring features and differences that accompany it, how it affects an individual and what can be done to help and understand and will dispel lots of myths that surrounds Tourette's and show the true reality of the condition and how it affects those living with it.
