application of this person centered approach, this is linked to Strengths Based
Assessments because the research in this area suggests that M.I is very
effective when undertaking a Strengths based approach. M.I is used in so many
areas of health and social care, where Behaviour change is required, but simply
telling people how to change doesn’t work. The M.I approach brings forward the
persons best reasons for change.
