Aims and Objectives
Aim
The course is
aimed at improving the understanding of those who are involved in the planning,
conducting and evaluating interviews with children for both criminal and family
court proceedings. The courts have made it clear, through case law, that
professionals must follow the guidance contained in the ABE document.
Therefore, this course will provide the candidate with the necessary knowledge
and understanding of key aspects which allow the candidate to participate in
the ABE process but without the skills to conduct the actual interview.
