Aims & Objectives
This course is accessible to all Cwm Taf Local Authority Learning Disability Services & Partner agencies.
- To develop a wider understanding of the nutritional needs of people with a learning disability.
- To develop staff shopping and cooking skill so they are able to support individuals to enjoy healthy, nutritious food.
- To give staff hints and tips on how to introduce new tastes and ways of eating to the people they support.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Plan a balanced menu.
- Identify a range of healthier cooking methods and explore techniques for introducing more fruit and vegetables into the daily diets of the people they support.
