    Aims

    This one-day course will help participants understand the reasons for what is seen as difficult or challenging behaviours of people with an Autism Spectrum Conditions and how you can work in a positive way to help change these behaviours.

    Difficult or challenging behaviour often has its roots in the way the world views characteristics of autism or how others’ behaviour or the environment affects people with an Autism Spectrum Conditions.

    This course will help better understand ‘difficult’ or ‘challenging behaviour’ in people with an Autism Spectrum Conditions and positive ways to help change these behaviours.

    At the end of the course learners will:

    ❖ Recognising how the characteristics of autism often look like challenging behaviour

    ❖ How to assess ‘difficult’ behaviour using the Iceberg Model

    ❖ Developing person centred approaches to reduce ‘difficult’ behaviour

    ❖ How understanding the characteristics of autism can reduce ‘difficult’ behaviour when you consider the association between autism and challenging behaviour

    ❖ How the principles of positive behaviour support strategies can help develop positive outcomes for people with autism

    ❖ Explore the ways we can develop ourselves as carers and practitioners in order to support people with autism

    ❖ Strategies to support the development of positive behaviour strategies for people with autism.

    Bydd y cwrs yma, sy'n para diwrnod, yn eich helpu i ddeall y rhesymau dros yr ymddygiad heriol sy'n cael ei arddangos gan bobl ag anhwylderau'r sbectrwm awtistiaeth. Bydd hefyd yn dangos sut y mae modd i chi weithio mewn ffordd gadarnhaol sy'n helpu i newid yr ymddygiadau yma.

    Yn aml mae ymddygiad yn cael ei ystyried yn heriol oherwydd y ffordd y mae'r byd yn barnu nodweddion awtistiaeth, a sut mae ymddygiad eraill a'r amgylchedd yn cael effaith ar bobl sydd ag anhwylderau'r sbectrwm awtistiaeth.

     

    Bydd y cwrs yma'n cynnig y cyfle i wella'ch dealltwriaeth o 'ymddygiad heriol' y rheiny sydd ag anhwylderau'r sbectrwm awtistiaeth. Bydd hefyd yn sôn am ffyrdd cadarnhaol i helpu i newid yr ymddygiad yma.

    Ar ddiwedd y cwrs, byddwch chi'n gallu gwneud y canlynol:

    ❖       Nodi sut mae nodweddion awtistiaeth yn aml yn edrych fel ymddygiad heriol

    ❖       Sut i asesu ymddygiad 'heriol' gan ddefnyddio'r 'Iceberg Model'

    ❖       Datblygu dulliau sy'n canolbwyntio ar yr unigolyn er mwyn lleihau ymddygiad 'heriol'

    ❖       Nodi sut mae deall nodweddion awtistiaeth yn gallu lleihau ymddygiad 'heriol' pan rydych chi'n ystyried y cysylltiad rhwng awtistiaeth ac ymddygiad 'heriol'

    ❖       Deall sut mae egwyddorion strategaethau cefnogi ymddygiad cadarnhaol yn gallu bod o gymorth i ddatblygu deilliannau cadarnhaol i bobl sydd ag awtistiaeth

    ❖       Archwilio'r ffyrdd rydyn ni'n gallu datblygu'n gynhalwyr ac ymarferwyr er mwyn rhoi cymorth i bobl ag awtistiaeth

    ❖       Datblygu strategaethau ymddygiad cadarnhaol i helpu pobl ag awtistiaeth.
